Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Recognize challenges in the treatment of hepatitis C in select populations, including African-Americans, patients with renal failure or on dialysis, patients coinfected with HIV-1, those with acute hepatitis C, and nonresponders. Understand the status of new drugs in development for treatment of hepatitis C, including nucleosides and viramidine. Discuss new developments in the treatment of hepatitis C.
